Are We 8K Ready ? Yes !

You might not think you need 8K or higher in editing  until you have an unexpectedly challenging project. We recently completely an immersive video experience in 8K featuring 3 1920 screens running together in sync. To edit a project like this means working on all 3 screens at once in a combined 8K wide timeline. Then images or graphics can move across screens, people talking stay in sync, everything just works correctly. Handling such a large resoltion  project was no problem. We could play it in real time with new modern M series ultra Macs. This project was not just a simple single layer of video on each screen. It had multiple layers of video running all the time leading to a complex 20 track high timeline to hold and edit all the elements.
     Sound was mixed in a room filling surround mix utilizing the 4.0  quad format. That might seem retro or odd but it got the job done with the least amount of gear for the effect. When it came to show week it turned out to be a crowd pleaser.
